Our focus is to determine what a student knows, not how quickly they can process and respond. Services such as Kahoot and Blooket can be excellent tools for classroom engagement. Competition and speed are part of their appeal and can be highly motivating for many students. They can also disadvantage students who understand the mathematics but need more time to process a question and respond.

Mammath therefore avoids competitive features and does not display a timer. Students can concentrate on the questions, while teachers get results that are less influenced by response speed.

Mammath is built to provide timely data, not timeless data. Assessment data is most useful when it informs what happens next in the classroom. Mammath is designed around that purpose and does not aim to maintain a permanent archive of student records. Teachers who need to retain results for reporting or longer-term records can export the data as a CSV file for use in their existing systems.
