Why can't I just use student names?
Mammath is designed to uses aliases (e.g. initials) for students to ensure we don't store personally identifiable information (PII) for students. While we take reasonable precautions to secure and protect our site and data from bots and hackers. However, even services with far greater resources than us suffer data breaches. We therefore minimise any risk or harm of a breach by preventing storage of PII.
Why don't you have a free account?
Teachers can create an account for free and try our quizzes and tools without paying a subscription or even entering credit card details. Our "try-before-you-buy" model let's teachers explore how Mammath can support them in their practice. Mammath does not run adds, and requires considerable investment to build, maintain and operate. We price our annual subscription for the price of a coffee per month and believe this provides great value compared to other educational platforms that charge per student. Teachers can try our service without any committments and make their own value judgements.
Can I use Mammath for summative assessments?
We don't recomment it, unless you have taken steps to secure the browsers students are working in and supervising their use. Otherwise it would be too easy to cheat by feeding questions into online AI tools.
My students don't have devices at school. How can I use Mammath at school?
Today you can't, but perhaps your students could access it from home and use it for homework? We are considering ways to reduce dependancy on devices for future feature releases.

No. We want students to do their best and not be concerned about racing or competing. Of course, they may compare results with one another. The teacher should work establish clear expectations for how to participate and engage with Mammath in the classroom and at home.
